I"m doing all that I can to stay healthy but I definitely feel it creeping in.
It has been over a year since our last family flu so I guess it's that time..
Of course that doesn't make it any easier to deal with but we'll get through it.
On a happier note I did another bit of refashioning out of another rarely worn shirt of mine.
I love stripes but I hardly possess the body to wear them so they are moving on down the line.
Before...
After....
And in true Sophie fashion these days she flat out refused to wear the hat. The "play with mommy's phone" trick only worked for a minute. Then the fits started and snot started to run so we were done.
Back on the sick kick, if anyone has any good remedies for coughs or breaking up congestion I would love to hear it. I am using a bit of Vicks vapo rub and some good old shower steam.
TIA...

Beautiful recycling job and Sophie is gorgeous as usual. Gosh, just getting over the flu here and we found the absolute best thing was what you hear all of the time but we did it this time....plenty of fluids and actually I found water the best of all. Get well soon!
Love your refasioned dress, it looks gorgeous on your little one.
Hope you are all on the mend real soon.
xx
I love how you've refashioned your t-shirt into that dress. Gorgeous Work! I dont suppose you'd let us in on your secret and tell us how it's done??? :-)
Oh how cute - she looks gorgeous.
Great idea to upcycle your tshirt.
Your so clever its looks so cute ;-)) Im sorry to hear your all poorly i hope you all start to feel better soon. Vics is good i find and lots of steam head over a bowl with a towel but i know thats hard with little ones. take care, dee x
Found your blog while looking for shrug patterns. Your square vest came up and I loved it! I was making it for me but ran out of yarn. Before I could get more my 4 year old daughter stole the vest. :) Your projects are very cute, thanks for sharing!
As for coughs and stuffiness, ty spoonfuls of honey- only for those over 1 year. Honey has been shown in studies to work than cough medicine. It seems to work for my kids. Good luck!
That's SO adorable, as is your sweet little one. Love your photos. Hope they are feeling better soon. Its no fun, especially when the hubby is gone.
What an adorable dress and little girl. I just took a sewing class last night to make little skirts for my girls, and your blog has inspired me. I also just started crocheting and tried out your strawberry beret pattern (for my little Sophie, 9 months old). I'm not thrilled with how it turned out, the brim seems to not be as tight as it should be. But I love the pattern and will try it again. Thanks for sharing!
Erin, you can easily sneak in a few extra decreases to make the brim tighter. That is an easy fix :)
