My Creative Space

A gift in progress...

I've decided to make a Dottie Angel blanket.
Or as she calls it...'ordinarily extraordinary' blanket, for my sister.
She just moved into a new place and I figure I should have no problem finishing
it by Christmas so a housewarming/Christmas gift combo.

And since I can pretty much break up the progress by squares, trying to do 2 a day.
It has become my Sophie is napping project..

So far I am enjoying the simplicity of it, but every time I sit down all I can think about is the million other things I could be doing during her naps. Just keep reminding myself that's exactly how I would feel no matter what I was doing.
This is where a more organized person would write up a to-do list.
But I apparently prefer to agonize over it all in my head.
Stay back, it's a mess in there...

Hope you are having a wonderful week..
Now off to more spaces you go...

Oh I know that feeling all too well... the mind racing and whirring with all the things I could be doing. It can be overwhelming sometimes.
Making a blanket for your sister is a great way to use nap time... as is doing one thing at a time. Relax, sit back and hook away - it is important that you rest at this busy time of year too!

This will be a beautiful gift and by the looks of things you already have a good start! Sleeping angel....by your side!

I am pleased to meet another agonizer! But then if I wrote it all down, I just might scare myself!

YOUR HOOK MUST BE FLYING!

I've found there is no point writing it all down. I just lose the list. I've made about twenty lists, all of them incomplete and wafting about in a corner here, there and everywhere. And the brain spaghetti is no less messed...

Love the colours of your knitting and your photos (as usual!) I wish I'd taken photos of my kid when they were sleeping babies - it's such a peaceful shot. I know in my heart i should have one written for today but somehow I feel I'll have less chance to procrastinate (read blogs, chill out) if I put it all down on paper!

I KNOW that feeling...I wish she would tell me in advance when she is going to take her naps and more important - how long it is going to be =D
