My creative space

Well this week has been full of many things but not much of the crafty persuasion. Before Scott went into the hospital I was taking care of him and then of course once he was there I was back and forth trying to make everyone happy. Thank you everyone for your good thoughts and prayers..He is coming home tonight Thank goodness!!! I don't know that I could handle another day of hospital runs etc...

I did have Shay try on his Halloween costume...Thank Goodness!! I am quite bummed that the teddy bear hood is entirely too small. That's what I get for ordering it off of Amazon I suppose. The bottom half is the correct size but when I put the hood on it barely fit half his head sooooo. I am going to try and save it...Let out the seams and unstitch the front to leave a raw edge and if need be add a little elastic piece to the chin strap...keeping my fingers crossed it works...It really is adorable otherwise...

Then of course since everyone talks about getting some yarn craft time in sitting in cars or at the park etc. I thought hmmm maybe I could do something at the hospital...Well I did a tiny bit....Turns out even a hospital room can't keep a 2yr old down haha..

Lastly my daughter did get in on the creative time this week and put together a gingerbread haunted house...Gotta love Lucy already plotting to take a bite out of it :P...

Go on and check out some more productive spaces over at Kirsty's :)

Glad Scott is getting better, it must be hard keeping it all together. Good luck with the bear costume, hope to see a photo! Love the shot of Lucy looking lovingly at the gingerbread house...just one little taste? Take care xo

Well I must admit to a sigh of relief that the poor bear's head was deliberately unpicked and it not the result of an unfortunate costume-wearing accident! Godo luck with the adjustments.

Great to hear Scott is coming home. Sounds like you've been doing a grat job looking after your family.

For someone who's had a very unproductive week, you've still got a lot to show for it ;-) You and your family are in my prayers - it's great news Scott comes home tonight. Hopefully he'll be back to 100% really soon.
