Squash top

I hook/ 5.50mm
sport weight (shown knit picks)
2T to 5T

Notes on sizing....This hat is stretchy and form fitting. Finished beanie from this pattern fits both my 2yr old and my 5yr old. If you switched to worsted yarn moved up to a J hook and add a few rows for length this could easily fit teens and adults. To make it fit toddlers row3 should be worked as dc, dc, 2dc so you will be starting with 20 instead of 30 dc for the body and shorten by a few rows. You could also increase stitches in row3 to make it bigger if you wanted to still work with I hook and sport yarn to make it bigger. And  you could decrease further in row3 to make baby sizes.

beat the heat tank

Still waiting for the cool weather to kick in around here. So to beat the heat on our short walks to pick up the 5yr old from school I made a little tank top prototype. This looks very basic and very boring I know. I will say the exciting part is hidden though. Gotta figure out a cute stitch pattern and work out the kinks.

If you have ever been interested in my pattern making process this is part of it. First I write up a quick sketch so technically this is step 2. Now it's back to fix shaping and get a little more creative.

skirt for the squirt

For the first time in what feels like forever I have managed to pick up the hook and finish something in the same day. I have been on the go non-stop since my last post. And man do I miss being crafty.

Thank goodness for stash yarn laying around and hooks sitting in just about every nook of the house. I saw THIS stitch pattern on Pinterest and had to make something out of it. I didn't do the
front post dc's but it's cute regardless IMO.

I did modify it to work in the round but it wasn't too much hassle. And now the teenage daughter wants one. She requested one in blue. So maybe she will model that one for me...Maybe....

Striped T-shirt dress

A simple little T-shirt dress pattern. Sizing is written for my 2 1/2 yr old.
Color Rows are grouped in 7's so you could easily lengthen or shorten by increasing or decreasing that number to keep the stripes equal.
Also if you want it bigger/smaller width wise add/subtract from initial starting chain.
However you will need to take that into account when starting the sleeves.

Also I recommend a seamless join like that of Sarah London
It's a little extra work but mostly eliminates the back seam that can get distracting.

I think that's all...Enjoy the pattern and please link back or share your finished garment
on Ravelry. I would love to see the results...
