Crochet designs

I love this scarf....I plan on making a few as christmas gifts and one for my neighbor who is "although we don't talk" always sending her kids over with fresh cooked foods for our kids. I am not that confident in my cooking to do the same so I figure something like this would more then make up for it...:)

If you want to give this scarf a go..It is really simple and a great relaxing crochet project...Here is a similar pattern I did use a slightly smaller hook and fingering weight yarn but you could go either way with this one it will still turn out beautiful IMO..

This thing is long, wide and although it's not solid it is super cozy and perfect for that chilly day/night out..I really love how it turned out!

Then of course there is this...I don't wear jewelry and hubby asked me why I made it..I could only answer "because it is pretty" which he agreed...

If you haven't noticed I finally opened up a little etsy shop...I haven't really talked about it but it's there. And I am slowly adding items..I plan on adding these too soon as well...

Happy Birthday Andrew

I was 17 and pregnant, having a child so young was absolutely the last thing that I thought would happen to me. But I was young and insanely naive and although it rocked my world at the time he has been a blessing since day one..

Andrew has always been the smart one of the bunch, when the A's were younger he was the mastermind behind countless messes and escapes to the park next to our apartment..Of course as he has gotten older (and smarter) his plots have thickened and I am pretty sure he thinks he is smarter then the "rents" ..Hahaha Sorry bud that isn't going to happen...:P

It's a big day for him and I am excited to share these years with him..Just hope I don't go crazy in the meantime ;)

The Good Report...

I found this Lovely blog and I love the theme so much I hope to add a little "Good Report" once a week myself. I think it is important in these crazy times to make sure we stop and realize how much goodness there is in our lives...So here is my first round of the report...

1. Ayden is on the B honor roll (he tends to struggle in school)
2. I have gotten 3 of the 4 Halloween costumes ordered for the kids, I got them exactly what they ask for but it's a surprise to them..:)
3. Finally got hubby to pay attention to his errr umm I mean our spending habits...
4. Thinks this baby inside me is psychic because every time I wonder if she is ok she gives me a little kick within the minute of that thought to let me know she is :P
5. So glad the weather is cooling down and enjoying the rainy nights we have been having. The is my favorite time of year.....
6. Lot's of walks and park time for me and Shay in the future oh and of course lots of pictures as a result.
7. So proud of myself that I resisted the craft book that was too much money at the store the other day...stuck with the 3 dollar magazine and am loving it :)
8. Excited to get a box of girly clothes from a friend all my clothes are for boys..When Alexis was a baby I really had no money for cute clothes so not much saved either...
9. Love that Shay slept in with me til 11 today....WHOOHOO...
10. And so so so so excited to be having a baby girl!!!!

100 days to go..........

Seems like a lot but I know it will fly by....100 days "roughly" til this little jumping bean in my tummy makes her appearance...I am amazed at how strong she is already and how differently I am carrying her compared to the other kids.

But like they say, every child is different...She does not want to be the exception to the rule obviously! Her personality is already shining through, very very stubborn...She does not like when I am sitting upright and will not stop moving until lean back. Not to mention any time I move in bed and she was comfortable or my belly is even somewhat pressed against the bed. She has something to say about that too..Hubby gets a kick out of it "literally"...I guess she has to be a fighter to make it in this family, as long as she keeps her girly side I'll be ok with it I suppose...Not that I have much choice!

What's keeping me busy these next few months????
Of course blogtoberfest and all my crafty tendecies
Andrew's birthday next week the big 13
A three day weekend for Scott and the kids so we'll have to find something to do of course..
Halloween party for Scott's brigade
Halloween
Early next month Scott will most likely be re-enlisting so big decision to be made there..."which way do we go???"
then of course preparing for the move
Thanksgiving, To drive to Texas or not???
And most likely, Christmas, moving and baby all within a very close time span..

Of course this all with the normal crazyness of the house, This might be the first child I am ok with going past my due date!! ....Hahaha.... Ok probably not because those extra 11 days my kids like to give me are NO fun...

I did have a dream she came unexpected in a hotel room?????? I hope that one stays a dream!

Blogtoberfest day #2

Often I forget how cute my growing A's were when they were Shay's age. I know a lot of my posts gab about Shay but the older three are just as much my priority as he is..They just really have grown to dislike the camera....

Looking back I can't even believe I survived through 3 kids so close together at such a young age myself. But I did it!! And so far they are healthy strong smart kids getting ready for their teens..YAY ME!!!

Here are a few pics from their younger days...

Creepy Teeth how-to

They are pretty self explanatory but just in case your curious....The teeth are mini marshmallows and I used creamy peanut butter to keep them in position..

Just slice an apple add peanut butter, line up marshmallows then top with another peanut buttered apple :)
