My Creative Space

I am working slowly but surely on the Christmas list....As you can see the minute I pull out crafty tools. I am swarmed by onlookers who not only stare intently they wait til I am just in the swing of things to blurb out a question or of course the dreaded "mom, mom, mom" occurs...Oh how I love my children :)

Oh and I did it...I officially cut into the first pair of uniform pants of Scott's. Yay me. It has been a bit of a pain trying to figure out how and where to cut with all the seams and pockets on these things..WOW.. So far just a few pouches finished. I plan on adding them to totes that I will make out of his tops. So far he approves and is excited to see them all finished. So that gives me the little extra umph I need to hurry up and get them done..... Or maybe he just wants me to move onto packing for our move already :P....You just never know with men haha...

Oh and it's hard to tell but I used an existing "hidden" pocket on Scott's pants to create a front pocket to the top pouch...Go me!!!

I am also working on a few of my crochet poncho's that were ordered this past week. Did I mention I was busy?? :) I am convinced I can now safely write up a pattern for these since I can put them together without much thought. So that is the next thing on my list. :)

Thanks Kirsty for Hosting...I really am addicted to Creative Space...

Using Scott's pants to make presents for your families is a WONDERFUL idea. And what you have made so far is great. That drawstring bag is awesome.

Well done for actually getting some cutting started - it's always the hardest part. I LOVE your little poncho - if there ever was a tutorial up for it I would love to have a go. xx

At least you've started your Christmas stuff (I haven't!). I think your upcycled pants creations look great - love the pocket save. My kids are the same when I start sewing or cutting or anything that is a PITA to be interupted, they wake/ need to go to the toilet/spill something all over the floor LOL. What can you do?!
Oh, and I love your poncho.
