Creative Space

Well it's been a week full of ups and downs. And a few visits from the maintenance man, cause of course everything has decided to go on the fritz at the same time.

And I must remember when the Army tells you they will give you something you want don't jump up and down all excited because an hour later their lazy butts didn't do what they were suppose and it's all taken away. Yes I admit I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown and feeling that urge to drive off a cliff while still trying to maintain enough sanity to be mommy..agghhhh.. I could go on and on about this but basically. Scott reserved a spot for a (MUCH WANTED) base this morning. Knowing if he didn't do it immediately it would fill up..Well the guy who was responsible for putting the info in the system failed to do so "forgot" so, Scott went in later only to find out the spots had filled up.And so Scott got the Hey sorry dude..And now we have to sit and pray that another spot opens up sometime in the near future. I am really struggling with dealing the reality of being stuck here for months and months longer then anticipated...

But alas, there are a few small things in the works...Little cushions half done...I have extra pink and brown yarn leftover and I am having fun with it :)

Not sure how big I want to make this I think I might keep going and going simply because it is so darn cute!!!!

And this one is just a little idea I am trying out..I am in desperate need of some type of artistic/drawing skill to get the ideas in my head looking better but hey this is a start. A crochet embroidered flower, not shabby I guess.

Beautiful pinks and browns Amanda, you are stronger than I. I hope it works out for you soon.

I really hope something comes up soon - that sounds very frustrating (especially the "hey sorry dude" bit ... that would have been a bit much for me).

Love your crochet. The idea you are "just trying out" looks amazing.

You're doing an amazing job of channelling frustration into something really spectacular, especially the crochet embroidered flower. I love that!

I hope that Scott's work sorts itself out soon. There's only so much uncertainty a girl (and family) can cope with! Thinking of you.

Oh Amanda, I am so sorry that it didn't work out for you. Maybe its because the spot you are about to be offered is so much better. I love the cushion cover flower so much.

They look great Amanda, they'd look really good with your blanket from last week.
When things are tough always try and find a silver lining, positive thinking can get you a long way.
Hang in there.

Ugh. I trust you have kicked something? (although the last time I did that I think I did something serious to a toe - don't kick then). Keep crocheting loveliness, and I so hope that the posting thing works out better than you could hope - quicksticks like.

I've never visited your blog before, and this all sounds rather hectic! I hope something sorts it self out for you soon... I'm also living in a place that's driving me crazy-- self inflicted though... I do love your pink and brown combo though! :)

Hope everything works out. So frustrating that you have no regress for that.
On the the hand, the crochet is gorgeous. I love the dimension of it! (if that makes sense)

Oh hope things work out very soon. Waiting for the unknown is very frustrating. The upside is that you still produce amazing crochet even under pressure and that's a credit to you. Your flower is beautiful and I love the pink and brown
