Having boys...

I guess with being a mom to boys you expect to hear about the fights or ego disputes. But when it actually comes that time in their lives to deal with it. As a mom I don't think you are ever ready.

Living on this base is not an ideal place for me. Off base would be horrible but it seems that parents take the fact that we live on a base in a monitored somewhat safer environment then off base means they can let their kids roam free for the most part. Of course I don't agree with this and my kids will never have that freedom. Call me over protective but that's just me.

Anywho..Yesterday at the bus stop some boys Andrew's age decided it would be fun to beat him up. My Andrew has never been aggressive and will take a beating while never throwing a punch or kick back. I love that he is not aggressive but it scares me that he doesn't stand up for himself. Alexis came running in the house saying he got beat up and of course me being mom went hauling out behind her to rescue him until Scott reminded me I was in super short shorts.lol. So he went while I threw some pants on.

My poor baby was laying on the ground arm bloody and red marks all over his back and chest..It tore me up..And since the bus was there, which I am pretty sure the brats planned on. We didn't get to talk to them. But I did take pictures and we did call the MP's. They are thankfully taking it seriously and doing an investigation in hopes to get those boys kicked off the bus. This isn't the first time they have done this and to several other kids as well..

We hope to get them kicked off the bus. It doesn't sound like much but the drive to school is 30 mins.. Not fun for any parent to have to make twice a day but I guess in a way it's what they get for having such an hands off approach to dealing with their hoodlum kids.

Andrew is doing fine and is back to school today. Hopefully there will be no more issue's but I won't hold my breath...
