This weeks Creative Space may not seem like a big deal but I am super duper happy to announce I have finished my first pair of crocheted booties. Silly I know, but I am just not the booties type. I have started several pairs and never finished them. Even gone so far as to buy a pattern on Etsy back when I first learned how to crochet and still a no-go. So imagine my excitement when I did it!!!
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I didn't use a pattern (although I have seen several versions of these around) I took advantage of my growing free form ability and did it my way. With the same yarn used to make her striped cardi so when the weather cools off she can be all matchy matchy...
Of course I already have a few ideas for different styles so maybe I will sketch them out and tackle them when I get a whim to try again. :)
Kirsty has lot's more where this came from..Make sure to visit!

They are adorable!!!!
These are so beautiful!! :)
They are gorgeous! I have no skills what so ever yarn!
Gorgeous! And to have created them yourself with no pattern, make them unique. You must be well chuffed with those!!x
sigh. Your photos are just mindblowingly brilliant Amanda...and your booties are super cute and look like the perfect fit on the tootsies of your bubba! Brilliant crochet!
Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Well done with the freestyle crochet!
Oh my goodness! I am a booties girl & they are so divine!
Very stylish, and without a pattern? I'm impressed.
They are gorgeous, well done!
Fabulous! Obviously free form works so much better for you than following rules! S is going to look gorgeous and stylish.
Lovely colour, style and photography as always! I particularly like the ultra-uniqueness of 'freeform' anything. You've got lucky kids!
They are just the cutest Amanada!
I love the big buttons and as for those little legs, divine.
Aww look at those little knees. So cute in the slippers. They look like little red maryjanes straight out of a story book. Just gorgeous. Well done!

Oh they are so cute - love the button detail too. I've just finished a dress for my niece and you've inspired me to start making some booties in time for my little one.
Booties and Tushy Cushies. I really need to get into crochet as I just can't do all that cool stuff with knitting needles. Your kids had better be grateful!!
Very cute! The matching striped cardi is adorable too!
Love the buttons! I'm on a bootie kick too and the more patterns I try, the more I just end up freestyling. You did a great job.
Very cute.
Wow, I"m so impressed with your bootie efforts! And how adorable is that last photo? Gorgeous xo
