A quick project with simple construction and sweet results is exactly what hits the spot these days. And after seeing a few granny square tops around the web I caved and made one for Sophie. It was the perfect thing to work on in between searching for a new home in El Paso. Which has been pretty much the only topic of conversation around here for the past week. We have about 6 weeks before it's time to hit the road. And I know all to well how quickly that sneaks up on you. I am counting my lucky stars that I have crochet to calm my nerves and cause me to take a break from all the stress....

This is beautiful! Can I ask - have you just made two large granny squares then joined them together leaving room for her head and arms?
absolutely gorgeous!! Just beautiful. Reminds me of your vest kinda (which I think is really my favorite pattern of all time . . . no joke - although I still have to make one!!!).
Hey Amanda! I'm your newest follower! I actually found your blog through a photo someone pinned to Pinterest. :]
Love all your crochet stuff! I'm gonna have to try some!
Crochet calms me too! My family knows that the faster I crochet the more stressed I am! :)
I cannot get this top out of my head! I want one for me in wool to wear over things this winter. How did you make it? Is it just 2 big granny squares?
Thank you Anna, I will write up a quick tute/pattern for this soon. It's a tiny bit more then just two squares but not much. :)

Hi, Amanda!
This crocheted granny square pullover is so adorable (and the little tike, too!)
I would love to know how you made it or how you extended it to make sleeves, joined it and finished it off.
I would love to make one for my great niece.
Thanks.
So , so cute!
