The PCS game....

PCS...Permanent Change of Station....

So we are in the lovely chaos of deciding where we want to go. What do we want to do, for Scott's reenlistment...It really is a the best and worst of everything...Mainly because it means getting out of here but trying to get the most that you can out of it is enough to drive you insane...

Scott qualifies for a bonus if he waits til early November to reenlist..Which is always needed especially with the new baby coming...But the amount is more then like going to drop dramatically before this month is out so.... do we re-up now and save the bonus for the next time we reenlist or do we just deal with it accept a smaller amount and hope where ever we go we make a little bit of money on the move to offset the loss of bonus....

Then of course what will be available???? Are we going to like them????? If we wait til Nov will there be a better choice or will we miss out on something that we may have wanted??? No way of knowing of course...

Then of course..WHERE DO WE WANT TO GO?????? Irwin would be nice but only because we would be close to my family..The base is crud and the immediate location offers nothing but less then 2hours from family would be great...Chances are it won't be available..It is C.A after all...

Fort Carson, beautiful post in a beautiful city but tons of deployments!!!

Heck we have even entertained the thought of Alaska.... The move money would be nice the cold would be harsh but they he would most likely have another year before a chance of deployment so that would be great to adjust to being a mom of 5 and having to do it on my own for a year....

I don't know..What would you do ???? lol

Scott is going in next week to start the questions game with the recruiter so this should be interesting...And stressfull....I am just praying whichever way we go it turns out to be the right way....

I don't envy you! Especially the who single parent of 5 for an extended period! I struggle with being a single parent of 1 for more than 24 hours. Hope it works out well. x
