The heat and humidity of the south can cause an outdoor person to stay inside way too much. I miss the warm kiss of the sun and the cool breeze that California offers.
Took this picture last summer in Huntington Beach while staying with my sister. She is so lucky to live here. I was going for walks and runs everyday soaking up every ounce of beautiful weather. After living in the south for a few years I will never take that weather for granted again.

I totally know what you mean, coming back to FL from out west was a shocker. I'm still not used to it, and I've been back here for 7 years now.
