I made this

Instead of shoving our bags underneath the sink in a jumble I came across this pattern here at Crochet dude


Here is the end result. I think I want to make one in a darker color to add a little more excitement to it but hey it holds bags what more can I expect. It surely does it's job. And I know, shame on me for even using plastic bags at all but we do reuse them if that helps :P
