Finally getting around to sewing up some curtains for the Living Room. I bought the fabric months ago from Ikea and since it's not one of those "fun" projects I kept putting it off.
Hubby announced we are going to start hosting poker night, so I figured I better pretty up the place a bit with a touch of color. Since most cutesy things like knick knacks are impossible to have due to the
3yr old sneaky fingers.
Pretty boring space, which is why I went B&W on the pic, sure shows my enthusiasm for this project huh? I know I will love it once they are done but til then I will whine a bit.
Don't miss the lineup over at Kirsty's this week!
Have a wonderful day...
i am not a fan of those delayed must do projects but you will love them when they are done. your photo is lovely. and i'm certain the poker night guys will appreciate your efforts. if not make sure you remind them to admire your handiwork
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will be worth it when it is done, in saying that though I have a list of similar projects to do that I have no enthusiasm for... poker nights sound like fun though!
ReplyDeletesometimes when we HAVE to do things we tend to look at them in B&W, enjoy the colour & just imagine how great it will look once you are done.

Curtains are just one of those things I guess... straight lines and just enough concentration so you don't end up sewing your finger under there too!! ;) Hope it all goes well. Kx
ReplyDeletep.s. I rather like the B&W shot :)
I'm so impressed you are sewing your curtains,
ReplyDeletei think you've every right to complain.
xo
I'm liking the pattern on that fabric, it'll be worth your efforts in the end! It's always the things that 'have' to be done that seem to take the longest to get around to..
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the curtains! That print looks great!
ReplyDeleteI procrastinate something fierce when it comes to those projects that aren't so fun. You're not alone there.
i have lots of those not so fun projects hanging around. you'll be so happy to have it done tho!
ReplyDeleteYou have me intrigued as to what colour they are. Love your photos.
ReplyDeleteaww keep going with them, you will be so chuffed when they are finished and hanging at your window. What colour are they? Good luck Dee x
ReplyDeletefun photo though, even if the project is less than fun...
ReplyDeletethe fabric looks really intriguing, i think i like it! ahhh, procrastination ...
ReplyDeleteHehe, I have curtains to finish off in two rooms at our house, like you, I also think it is "fun" (NOT!), so keep putting it off...one lot has been put off for 18 months....whoops.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric looks great, even in black and white.
I'm sure it will look great once you're done =)
ReplyDeletejust discovered your great blog! hope the curtain project goes well and the boys will be impressed on poker night!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you black and whited the pic to show ypour enthusiasm (or lack of) for the project. You made me giggle.
